We're so glad you're considering giving a LivingSocial deal as a gift! Here's everything you need to know to make gifting through LivingSocial easy and fun:
Will the name on my voucher change when I give it as a gift?
Nope! Even if you’ve gifted a deal to someone else, the purchaser name will still remain as your name. Don’t worry about it, though -- It’s just the technical way merchants track redemption. Bottom line: Regardless of the name on the deal, it’s still giftable.
Can I let someone else use my voucher if I haven't gifted it officially?
Most of the time, yes! Unless otherwise noted in the Fine Print, all of our vouchers are fully transferable. For security purposes, the purchaser’s name will always be printed on the voucher and may not be edited or removed after the voucher is purchased. However, the holder of the voucher will always be able to redeem the deal, unless otherwise specifically noted in the Fine Print.
Can I change the mailing address or email address for my intended gift recipient if I made a mistake?
Everyone makes typos—don't sweat it! Here's what to do if you included the wrong information on your gift voucher:
Changes on vouchers sent by mail
If you typed the wrong mailing address, rest assured we check every address against the U.S. Postal Service database to make sure they are accurate. If we catch a mistake, we will email you to let you know. Or, you can give us a call at 202-400-2100 by 8 p.m. ET the day of the purchase to request any changes and we'll update the address for you. It might delay your shipping and receiving date, but we can certainly update it for you.
Changes on emailed vouchers
If you need to change the name, email address, or delivery date on a gift voucher you've sent:
- Log in to your LivingSocial account.
- Locate the gifted voucher under "My Vouchers" and click the "Resend This Gift" link in the lower right-hand corner.
- Edit the name, email address, and/or delivery date listed for the recipient and click "Send My Gift."
We hope the gift is unforgettable. Please note that if the original recipient has already added the voucher to his or her account, you will not be able to make any changes.
